My Purpose

I started the Ohio Independent Provider Network
in 2005 in order to help other Independent
Provider nurses maintain their independence in
Ohio. To let them know, they were not alone.
Most importantly, to provide a complete network
of Ohio Independent Provider Nurses, willing to
work together to discuss and resolve critical issues
facing us. In times such as these, Independent
Providers cannot afford to be alone!

Over the years, the website has spread by word of
mouth to consumers enrolled in the Ohio Home
Care Waiver Program. After receiving e-mails
from consumers, expressing their frustrations and
inability to easily locate an available Independent
Provider nurse in their region, it was decided the
website would now accommodate Independent
Provider nurses who wish to list their availability
to meet the consumers needs. Hopefully, this will
help to lessen the burden on consumers having to
make endless phone calls to Independent Provider
nurses in their area, to find an available one.
